Antonio Urzi

Antonio Urzì began his career creating spectacular costumes for dance companies appearing in the most important events of the Milano night scene. His meeting, in 1997, with show girl Natalia Estrada marked the beginning of his climb towards success in the world of costume design for Italian show business. Personalities such as Ilary Blasi, Elisabetta Canalis and Anna Oxa wore his creations. At the same time his name became widely known among the biggest figures in international show business, including Angelina Jolie, Christina Aguilera, Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Beyoncè. He created some of the most elaborate and stunning dresses and costumes that these stars have ever worn. For the past few years Antonio Urzì has been contributing to the accessory lines of the major fashion maisons worldwide: Armani Privè, Fendi, Dsquared, D&G, Antonio Scognamiglio, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, and Emporio Armani. His constant collaboration with the Armani maison, helped by his relationship with its artistic director Francesco De Simone, led to his work for Lady Gaga for her “Born This Way Tour” and other events and projects. In the course of his career Antonio Urzì has presented his collections at several shows: Punta del Este (2011 / 2014), Milano Business and Fashion (February 2012), Mamaia (Romania), International Fashion Designers (2014) and he is now entering all major fashion appointments worldwide with FTL MODA.
